Nacirema Demolition and Recycling, Inc. (“Nacirema”) is committed to conducting its business operations in a manner that sustains the environment and protects the health and safety of its employees, clients and the surrounding public.
Nacirema strives for continuous improvement in its Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) program and has set forth the following objectives:
- Nacirema has set a goal of ZERO injuries, illnesses and incidents for the company and our subcontractors.
- Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Consideration for employee safety and well-being is paramount. Identify conditions in the workplace that may present health and safety concerns to our employees. Mitigate potential exposures through assertive risk management and training.
- Minimize waste through source reduction, recycling, and disposal in an environmentally sound manner.
For each project, a site-specific safety program is developed along with a work plan. An OSHA engineering survey is conducted to identify and address potential hazards. Daily Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) and tool box talks are conducted. Frequent internal safety audits are conducted by the Corporate Safety Officer to ensure that projects are being conducted in compliance with all safety rules and regulations. These audits are presented directly to the owners of Nacirema.
All employees are expected to cooperate and contribute toward the overall success of Nacirema’s safety program by performing their jobs in the safest possible manner and in compliance with our corporate safety plan, client policies, and regulatory requirements
Each employee is empowered to stop work if they perceive a safety issue.
